about us

The Downtown Holiday Market is produced by Diverse Markets Management (DMM). With more than 180 participants selling a diverse array of quality, handmade art and wares over 31 days, the Downtown Holiday Market (DHM) is a one-stop winter wonderland with eclectic gifts for everyone on your shopping list.
Diverse Markets Management (DMM) and The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) joined forces in 2005 to create a community-based holiday gathering place. The Market showcases small and local businesses and creates a festive shopping destination in Downtown DC for workers, residents and visitors.
The DHM is proud to commit to environmental sustainability, and as such is powered by generators running on bio-diesel fuel, and its publicity materials are printed on 100% post-consumer recycled materials. Many offer fair trade imports and gifts made from recycled and sustainable resources, and shoppers making purchases will receive recyclable DHM shopping bags. In addition, the Market is accessible by Metrorail, Metrobus and Capital Bikeshare. And last, but not least, your patronage helps support many local artisans who live in the community and participate in this four-week outdoor market.

is a DC-based firm specializing in the development and management of outdoor public exhibitor markets.
